A Silent Film Experience
Travel back to the days of silent films when live musical accompaniment enhanced the experience for moviegoers. Students from Noteable Notes will provide the musical accompaniment as this movie is presented in the JRC Oak Room. Don’t miss this one of a kind experience.

This is a parent/child class.
Enjoy one-on-one time with your child in a setting that includes climbing, crawling, jumping, balls, parachutes and moving to music. Parental interaction helps your child develop both motor and social skills. Please wear comfortable clothes; no snaps, jeans or overalls.

Experience the sport of gymnastics with your tot while also creating lasting memories! Play with your child to help them develop their gross motor and social skills, while also developing their coordination and body awareness. Tots will be introduced to a minimal amount of structured activity with your assistance, but the class will primarily be an open play environment. Class attire: athletic pants, shorts/shirts or leotard/shorts. No jeans, snaps or zippered shirts.

Sing, dance, play, learn, and imagine with us! This movement-based program uses music to facilitate learning. Activities include use of rhythm instruments and movement props, work on gross and fine motor skills, including balance and coordination, and engagement of imaginative play. All classes are structured and include early listening and following directions skills. Join us for a rockin’ good time!
Class requires parent participation

This class is perfect for kids who are full of energy and ready to be introduced to the basics of
soccer and t-ball. Socialization, teamwork, following directions, key motor skills and having fun
will be the focus in this non-competitive environment. About half of the time will be dedicated to
each sport. Parent participation is welcomed. ~Games will be played at the end of each class.

Young children develop motor skills while having fun running and ball handling. Parents and tots work together in this class to learn the basics of basketball. Dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork will be emphasized. A variety of activities will be played each week.

The Lil Dribblers Basketball program introduces children to the game of basketball in a safe, fun, and exciting environment. Our curriculum uses age-appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, listening skills and the ability to follow directions.

This football program includes exclusively designed equipment tailored to enhance the early football experience for each participant. The program challenges children to develop new cognitive, physical, and social skills. In addition, each child will experience social interaction with children and adults in a fun environment. Adult participation is required.

Come join in on the fun and start playing the nation's most loved game! Players are introduced to stance, receiving, rushing, blocking, and defense. Generally, each class ends with a scrimmage, which encourages teamwork and sportsmanship. Games focus on fundamentals, field concepts, positions, and mechanics. Players get to play either receiver or running back each week. No equipment necessary!

Players experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, the fundamentals of blocking and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use in a "game time" environment while players scrimmage each week.

Young children develop motor skills while having fun learning fielding, base running, and hitting off a tee. Parents and tots work together in this class, learning the basics of baseball. Teamwork and parent/child interaction are emphasized alongside basic motor functions and skills. A variety of activities are played each week.

Sullivan's Karate offers both mental and physical benefits. Physical strength, speed, agility, and coordination are developed along with self-confidence, respect, and a positive self-image. A1 is for Beginners (white belts), A2 is for Intermediate (yellow and green belts), and A3 is for Advanced (blue belts and above).

This introductory class is designed to captivate the interests of our youngest students. Skills are developed through gentle instruction and games!

This program helps kids develop conditioning, coordination, listening skills, and self-confidence through creative activities. Here students learn the fundamental skills of Taekwondo. This class is intended for White - Orange Belts who are 6 years of age and older.

This program includes a balanced cardiovascular workout including punching, kicking, and blocking skills using Taekwondo, tradition and self-control. Participants will improve coordination, power of concentration, and balance. Students begin learning the skills required to become a black belt. This class is intended for Green Belts to Brown Belts who are at least 6 years of age.

Students will develop heightened focus, mental discipline, and strategic thinking, while enhancing their cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, body control, and the beginning of mastery-level material to prepare students not only to earn their black belt, but to embody the role of a martial artist at the highest level. This class is intended for Red Belts to Black Belts who are at least 6 years of age.

NASA and Mad Science collaborate to educate the next generation! Children go on a voyage of discovery to space with unique hands-on activities and amazing demonstrations. They explore the sun and stars, space technology, rocket science, the atmosphere, planets and moons, supernovas and more! Each week will cover an exciting new topic: Atmosphere & Beyond, Sun & Stars, Living in Space, Space Travel, and Space Technology. This class is hosted at the Conolly Recreation Center-Medinah Park District -22W130 Thorndale Ave. Medinah, IL 60157

2025-26 Season Tryouts:
All Girls, and all Boys Grades 5th-8th, all participants must attend at least 2 of the 3 tryout dates for their grade level.
Boys 3rd/4th Grade must attend at least 1 of the 2 tryout dates for their grade level, and are encouraged to attend both dates.

Bloomingdale Park District provides a comprehensive soccer program for Bloomingdale and surrounding communities. Participants practice twice a week in the evening (weather permitting) on either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, and you may indicate your preference when registering. Note: Pre-K/Kindergarten practice one day per week once games have started. Each team plays approximately eight games, which are primarily on Saturday mornings and afternoons, but occasionally on weekday evenings. The youngest age groups will play games against other Bloomingdale teams and Hanover Park teams, while teams Grades 3+ will participate in the intervillage soccer league against teams from surrounding communities such as Bartlett, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Streamwood, and Elgin.

Register for the grade that your child will be entering in the Fall.

If you do not have a BPD soccer uniform, you must purchase one in person at the Johnson Recreation Center.
Pre-K & Kindergarten will be combined into one league.

As of 7/18/25, we are accepting participants to the waitlist, however, as long as we finalize enough coaches to form an additional team, we will be able to eventually place those who are currently on a waitlist to a team...
