An exciting camp for our youngest gymnasts. Age appropriate tumbling skills; straddle rolls; front and back rolls; donkey kicks; and cartwheels will be introduced. Skill circuits are also introduced on age appropriate equipment. There will be plenty of time for jumping, crawling, climbing, an parachute and ball activities.

Campers should bring a water bottle and snack each day. Children must be potty trained and able to take care of their own bathroom needs independently.

Gymnasts are exposed to all facets of the sport in a positive and fun environment. Camp includes four days of formal class instruction (vault, bars, beam, floor) with open gym. This camp goes swimming on Tuesday & Thursday, weather permitting. Bring the following to camp daily: lunch, snack, and water bottle. To guarantee receiving a camp shirt, register by June 26.

Love to tumble? Want to try something new? Then this camp is for you. Campers will be introduced to new skills and develop existing skills during this camp. We are excited to welcome beginner and experienced tumblers to this unique camp.

Age 3

This introduction to gymnastics class focuses on self-confidence, body awareness/gross motor skills, basic tumbling and introduction to gymnastics equipment. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment where your child can excel and build self-confidence. This class will require child to be independent from their parents since they are in the gymnastics room with the instructor and their peers without parents. The gymnastics instructor will notify you if your child should be placed into a different class.

Pre Kindergarten

Intro classes are the first levels without parent participation. Focus is on gross motor skills, confidence and independence. Ag-appropriate tumbling skills that are introduced include straddle rolls, front & back rolls, donkey kicks, and cartwheels. Children are also introduced to basic skills on vault, bars, beam and floor. Skill circuits are introduced on all equipment.

Kindergarten

Children are introduced to basic skills on vault, bars, beam and floor and rings for boys. Skill circuits are introduced on all equipment.

1st grade & up
This introductory class focuses on gross motor skills, confidence and independence. Age-appropriate tumbling skills introduced include straddle rolls, front & back rolls, donkey kicks, and cartwheels. Girls are introduced to basic skills on vault, bars, beam and floor. Skill circuits are introduced on all equipment. Once your daughter has sufficiently mastered these skills, she will be invited to move up to the next level by your coach. Everyone progresses at their own pace and it is not uncommon to require several sessions at Beginner 1 before moving to the next level. Repetition is the key to learning gymnastics skills.

Consent Required
(Girls) 1st grade & up

This advanced level class focuses on technique, strength, flexibility and advancement of skills in tumbling and on gymnastics equipment. You will be notified if the gymnastics instructor feels your child has been placed in the incorrect class. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment where your child can excel and build self-confidence.

To join one of the Beamers Gymnastics Teams, a Skills Evaluation must be completed.

Participants train with Illinois High School Association girls gymnastics rules until all skills are fulfilled. This team is also required to compete in the Illinois Park District Gymnastics Conference Tumbling Division. The goal of the program is to prepare gymnasts for high school competition. To become a Prep Optional Beamer, gymnasts must complete lower levels. Fee listed is due monthly.

This exciting new class will focus specifically on various tumbling skills such as straddle rolls, front & back rolls, bridges, and cartwheels. As the girls show proficiency in these skills, they will progress to more difficult skills such as flip flops, aerial cartwheels, and handsprings. This class is comparable to our Beginners 1 gymnastics class, only without work on the beam, vault, or bars so that the full focus can be on building up proficiency and confidence in tumbling skills.

You've asked for it and here it is! This is a class for multi-child families to experience the sport of gymnastics together! At least one parent must be present and supervise their children at all times. An instructor will help facilitate the class, but it will primarily be an open play program.
Sections A1 & B1 are for the first sibling of the family...
Any subsequent siblings from the same family after the first one should be enrolled into Sections A2 or B2.
