Bloomingdale Park District provides a comprehensive soccer program for Bloomingdale and surrounding communities. Participants practice twice a week in the evening (weather permitting) on either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, and you may indicate your preference when registering. Note: Pre-K/Kindergarten practice one day per week once games have started. Each team plays approximately eight games, which are primarily on Saturday mornings and afternoons, but occasionally on weekday evenings. The youngest age groups will play games against other Bloomingdale teams and Hanover Park teams, while teams Grades 3+ will participate in the intervillage soccer league against teams from surrounding communities such as Bartlett, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Streamwood, and Elgin.

Register for the grade that your child will be entering in the Fall.

If you do not have a BPD soccer uniform, you must purchase one in person at the Johnson Recreation Center.

This introductory class is designed to captivate the interests of our youngest students. Skills are developed through gentle instruction and games!

This program helps kids develop conditioning, coordination, listening skills, and self-confidence through creative activities. Here students learn the fundamental skills of Taekwondo. This class is intended for White - Orange Belts who are 6 years of age and older.

This program includes a balanced cardiovascular workout including punching, kicking, and blocking skills using Taekwondo, tradition and self-control. Participants will improve coordination, power of concentration, and balance. Students begin learning the skills required to become a black belt. This class is intended for Green Belts to Deputy Black Belts who are at least 7 years of age.

This class provides families with a fun opportunity to spend time together while improving physical and mental conditioning through cardiovascular drills, calisthenics, and traditional Taekwondo techniques including punching, kicking, and blocking. All participants must register individually for this class (parent and child both register). This class is intended for all belt levels age 7 and older.

The season starts the first week of April and ends the first week of June.

Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first/second grade are all co-ed teams. Teams in these age groups will play against other Bloomingdale teams in the league. Boys and girls of grades third through eighth play inter-village against surrounding communities such as Carol stream, Hanover Park, Streamwood, Bartlett, Elgin and Hoffman Estates.

Sullivan's Karate offers both mental and physical benefits. Physical strength, speed, agility, and coordination are developed along with self-confidence, respect, and a positive self-image. A1 is for Beginners (white belts), A2 is for Intermediate (yellow and green belts), and A3 is for Advanced (blue belts and above).

Students will develop heightened focus, mental discipline, and strategic thinking, while enhancing their cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, body control, and the beginning of mastery-level material to prepare students not only to earn their black belt, but to embody the role of a martial artist at the highest level. This class is intended for Black Belts who are at least 7 years of age.

Come join in on the fun and start playing the nation's most loved game! Players are introduced to stance, receiving, rushing, blocking, and defense. Generally, each class ends with a scrimmage, which encourages teamwork and sportsmanship. Games focus on fundamentals, field concepts, positions, and mechanics. Players get to play either receiver or running back each week. No equipment necessary!

This introductory t-ball program is perfect for a child who wants to have fun, make new friends, and be introduced to baseball. Each participant has the opportunity to hit, field, throw, catch, and run bases in this fun filled skills clinic. Participants are also introduced to the basic rules of the game. The program stresses teamwork over competition. All you need to bring is a glove!

Jumpstart your youngster's career in this class that teaches basic hitting, fielding, base running and, most importantly, how to have fun. Players should bring their own glove. All players receive a T-shirt, cap, and award.

The Lil Dribblers Basketball program introduces children to the game of basketball in a safe, fun, and exciting environment. Our curriculum uses age-appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand-eye coordination, listening skills and the ability to follow directions.

Young children develop motor skills while having fun learning fielding, base running, and hitting off a tee. Parents and tots work together in this class, learning the basics of baseball. Teamwork and parent/child interaction are emphasized alongside basic motor functions and skills. A variety of activities are played each week.

Taekwondo, one of the newest Olympic sports, is a 2000-year-old martial art, offering a variety of benefits for people of all ages and physical abilities. Students improve concentration and self-esteem, achieve lifelong physical fitness, and learn self-defense skills. Classes are taught under the direction of G. Master Ki Hong Kim (9th Dan Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters). A $50 uniform fee is required at the first class. Belt testing is offered through KH Kim Taekwondo at an additional fee and is held twice a year. All colored belt students are required to have complete sparring gear.

The Bloomingdale Youth Basketball Association (YBA) is a volunteer
organization supported by the Bloomingdale Park District that
provides a comprehensive basketball program for Bloomingdale
and surrounding communities.

Starting 11/1/2023, UNIFORMS may be purchased for $40 at the JRC front desk anytime during normal business hours. Uniforms are REQUIRED and consist of a reversible jersey and matching shorts. If you have the navy blue/white reversible jersey from a previous season, you do not need to purchase a new one.

Brazilian Soccer Camp is open to kids of all soccer levels. The camp emphasizes having fun, learning, and teamwork while creating a safe and enjoyable environment. Camp is led by a professional Brazilian soccer coach and aims to keep all players in touch with the "beautiful game" including developing technical skills, cultural soccer activities, mini-tournaments, and lots of fun. Participants gain fun and memorable soccer experiences, enjoying freestyle sessions and cultural exposure in a meticulously organized camp rooted in Beyond Soccer philosophy and Brazilian flair. Our main goal is to foster growth, prioritize individual attention, and provide dedicated care for your child’s development both on and off the field. Bring your game, make some soccer friends, and enjoy a different way to learn soccer and develop your skills.

Hot Shots Soccer is the perfect introduction to soccer in a safe, fun, and exciting environment.

Adult/Tot Soccer (ages 2-3) will let tots learn how to kick, score a goal, and more with assistance from their parent.

Minis Soccer (ages 4-5) continues teaching basic concepts and skills with little to no parental involvement through fun mini games and simple drills.

Juniors Soccer (ages 6-8) continues to build on soccer skills and principles while challenging your soccer player with fun mini games and drills.
